“Love Song” an addition to my collection of Splendid Fairy-wrens.

The male Splendid Fairy Wren when dressed in his courtship suit is a very glitzy little bird who sings out to be painted and placed on display.

There is no false modesty attached to the Splendid Fairy Wren.  The Male in breeding plumage shimmers in electric shades of violet blue, turquoise and pale blue with dramatic Zorro-like markings.  Whilst the female remains a very un-splendid brown.
