Meet “Kindred Spirits”—a piece that brings the vibrant beauty of a pair of Australian Red-tailed Black Cockatoos to life. These stunning birds are perched gracefully among the coastal banksia trees, showcasing their striking colours and unique charm.
I poured my passion for avian art into this artwork, hoping to share a glimpse of these magnificent creatures with you.
Very sadly the Red-tailed Black Cockatoo is classified as endangered due to the loss and fragmentation of their preferred habitats. Lets hope with the assistance of conservation programs we can preserve these beautiful birds for future generations to come.

Red-tailed Black Cockatoos are truly a spectacle to see and much welcomed visitors to our rural property in Margaret River, Western Australia. These beautiful cockatoos traditionally arrive during springtime when the Eucalypt trees are in flower to sit amongst the gum leaves and consume the seeds and green gum nuts from our native trees.
As visitors they never fail to impress announcing their arrival with loud gregarious conversations which always excites us to run out of the house to view their magnificence and enjoy their company.

The Rainbow Lorikeet is as vibrant in spirit as it is in colour.
Should a Rainbow Lorikeet fly into your life, be ready for some humour. There is nothing shy about these beautiful birds they are renowned not only for their vivid variegated plumage but also their boisterous chatter and silly play.
Rainbow Lorikeets prefer landing in a space lush with fruit and flowering trees. Here they sip on the plants nectar as you might consume a fine wine, bringing all the sweet things to life.
“Waratah” is an oil painting depicting a pair of beautiful Lorikeets sitting on one of Australia’s most iconic flowers, the floral emblem for New South Wales – truly a sight to behold.

What’s not to love about a smiling Carnaby’s Black Cockatoo lovingly painted in oils.
These beautiful birds are unique to the Southwest of Western Australia and regular much welcomed visitors to our property in Margaret River. We often see them fly over which is generally considered an indicator that it is going to rain. They also arrive in flocks to consume the seeds and green gum nuts from our Eucalyptus trees.
We are always in awe of their size, they are a big cockatoo.
Very sadly the Carnaby Black Cockatoo is classified as endangered due to the loss and fragmentation of their preferred habitats. Let’s hope with the assistance of conservation programs we can preserve these beautiful birds for future generations to come.
